Our March Activities!
Our activities for your investigators!
This month your children will be:
Making their own pixelated gaming characters.
Designing and creating two levels from Super Rabbit Boy's adventures.
Using coding to help their characters overcome the tricky maze, collect stars and avoid obstacles.
Teaching children to code helps improve their numeracy and writing skills. In an ever-increasing digital world, coding also gives them valuable life skills. Skills they may use at work!
In addition, teaching children coding helps with their problem-solving skills, critical thinking and creativity.
Our eldest enjoyed the activities but did at times find it frustrating when she had to ‘debug’ her code. Learning to bounce back is a wonderful learning opportunity for our children. Coding gives children a safe space to try again until they succeed and get the result they are looking for!
Our activities for your Explorers!
This month your children will be:
Creating their own playdough pet
Designing and crafting a home for your pet potato
Growing a Grassy Head
Growing their own potatoes
These activities are all designed to teach our children valuable life skills such as responsibility, compassion, respect, empathy and coping with loss.
These life skills are then reinforced when it’s time to plant and grow their own potatoes from the seed potato included in their box!
These are big lessons for our children to learn! So the activities are gentle, lots of fun and there is plenty of guidance in your activity cards.
Our seed potatoes are currently relaxing in their new homes!
