What’s In a box?

We understand as parents how hard (and exhausting!) it can be to get children, especially as they get older, to read and enjoy meaningful activities at home.

These kits do all the hard work for you. Our Investigators book and activity kits will ensure your children continue to love reading and enable you to enjoy a book and activities linked to the book together.

The books are carefully chosen to support your children in transitioning from picture to chapter books.

When designing these boxes we asked children what lessons they enjoyed most at school. Every child responded that they loved arts, crafts, STEM, gardening, and baking - they all want to have more hands-on learning.

Therefore our boxes contain an expertly chosen book and have the exact items needed to create a fun, hands-on educational activity, three carefully designed Literacy or Numeracy challenges and extra ideas inspired by the book and using the resources we have sent.

The activities, which are designed by experienced teachers, focus on key areas of learning in the National Curriculum.

Each box will include a full instruction booklet to help guide your little one in completing the activity. The booklet also contains the age-appropriate Literacy or Numeracy Challenges and gives your child extra ideas on how to use the resources.

Within the instruction booklet, example questions are included to develop higher reading skills and take reading to the next level.

We carefully select everything that goes into the box to ensure that it is of the highest quality and can be reused. Our boxes are eco-friendly and we avoid sending any single-use plastic.

We hope you and your children enjoy the books we choose and the activities we create!

Our Sibling Boxes

Did you know that we offer all our kits as sibling boxes too?

We do this because we know that when you have more than one child, it is wonderful when they can do the activity together but it isn't always easy to share!

Our sibling boxes contain two of all the resources so that each child has their own set.
